Universal Audio’s EMT 140 Plate Plugin.

For this Reverb Setting, I used the UAD EMT-140 plate reverb. It is one of my favorite sounding reverbs. None of the presets were sounding exactly like I wanted but the closest one I came to was “Club Galleria” I selected that and started to adjust the settings accordingly until I landed on something I liked.

The Sound for Catching Villains.

I felt this setting worked great for “Catching Villains” because the sound of Chizzy‘s vocals during the hook mostly but it made a perfect blend with the decay time when it transitioned to the verses. You can really hear the sound of this reverb when the beat filter’s out during the hook near the end of the song. It keeps the vocals sounding smooth, comfy, and gives it a nice setting that doesn’t make them sound dramatically big.

How to use the preset:

  1. Download the preset. (I included the protools preset and also the  UAD Preset)
  2. Load EMT140 on an aux track
  3. Send the vocals to the EMT140
  4. Adjust the send and return accordingly.
